TIS Mission Statement

The IRRI School (TIS) is committed to providing students with a high quality education in a safe, caring, supportive environment, catering to the academic, physical, emotional and social needs of each individual student. TIS believes that every child matters.

TIS celebrates differences. Teachers, parents and the community work together with positive attitudes to create confident, independent and socially competent students, through learning activities that are student-centred and recognise individual learning styles.

TIS works to create a safe, stimulating environment that promotes sustainability and an awareness of global issues, through teamwork and positive partnerships between all members of the school community.

The IRRI School (TIS) supports IRRI’s aims to reduce poverty and hunger, improve the health of rice farmers and consumers, and ensure environmental sustainability of rice farming.
